Title: Feature: Rectangular Select/Edit/Cut

Sometimes you just want to cut away those xxx in a fast way. It would be nice if a rectangular select/edit/cut function would exist.

Is this documented anywhere? Or should i post a new feature request: "Documentation needed" ?! ;-)

Whats about using doxygen?!
