When creating a new project make sure you have read/write-access to the "Folder to create project in:"(the folder hast to be an absolute folder, beginning with "/") !

Most of the times you have write acccess in the folders in your home folder - /home/<your_username> or ~.

I have read about read/write rights but I am not sure how to them. I know it has something do with Linux. Can anyone tell me how.

Create your project in your /home directory. e.g. If your user is Pete330, you have a /home/Pete330/ directory. Create your project there.

Thanks that worked out fine. Otherwise I found out how  to get permission to create a file.
Now I have another problem. When I try to build code blocks stops at the first header file with the following message: "no such file or directory."
