If you right click on an include statement and open that file in the editor, it's not added to the list of recent files.
People, usually, use this functionality to navigate between files while searching for something.
IMHO, not clobbering the recent files list with these files is a feature :)

Maybe you should make a small box somewhere asking if the user wants auto-clobbering or not :)
