I believe, probably some cluster machine :). In my case, compiling C::B after svn update takes about 1 hour and it's sometimes frustrating ;). So that's why I'm shocked about those 4 minutes. I congratulate you on having such enormous (comparing to my case of course) build abilities ;)

That was a joke :lol:
Those packages has been uploaded a few minutes before killerbot made his post. I made them to check the possibility of installing each package on the other distro (edgy's deb on feisty, and feisty's deb on edgy).
The build process takes me about half an hour each time.

1:0 for you.
I started to imagine that you are administrator of some big network in some big corporation or something.
But such compile times are possible. AFAIK ReactOs has specialized build server which need 3 minutes to compile their source which normally takes 2 hours (they use this to test build after each commit to automatically notify developers about broken revisions). Maybe we don't need such stuff and such speed, but gcc could be a little bit faster when dealing with 70MB precompiled headers :x
So, please don't laugh at my naiveness, I just needed few minutes of imagining a better coding world ;)

Every one university has cluster. So if you have developers from university, you can ask them to give time on cluster. Usually in the university that is not a big problem to put somebody between staff users :lol:.

It may be my bad. I'm at the moment rebuilding and checking if it was something on my system that caused the error. I'll let you know.
EDIT: Nope. I built the .deb (3888) with completely new svn and still get the errors. I thought it might have been something residual but appears not to be the case. This started in revision 3876.

Ooooops !
Revision 3888 gave me the same errors.
I was too fast for posting
The same problem appears with a clean svn dir.
Ok, I'll check this, just wait few more minutes, I need about 0,5 h to finish clean compilation ;)
But to be honest I really don't have any idea what's wrong. GDB will show 8)

Good luck :)
As an experiment I built Codeblocks from source on Ubuntu 7.04 32bit and I still get the manifest file errors.
Something strange is going on there... I've found out that when C::B tries to load wxSmith and wxSmithMime plugins, it uses manifest of wxSmithContribItems :shock:, The reason that invalid manifest file is used is that there's invalid plgin file name passed into manifest loading function, but what's the reason of that mismatched plugin filename... I don't know yet :(

diilbert: Is your wxWidgets complied with 2.6 mode enabled? If not, then try it with 2.6 mode enabled.
Do not use --disable-compat26, try using --enable-compat26 if removing --disable-compat26 is not enough.
This should result in the setup.h having WXWIN_COMPATIBILITY_2_6=1 in Windows, might not use the same method in Linux or Mac.

Well I tried --enable-compat26 and rebuilding wxGTK & C::B w/o success.
Any other thoughts ?
Hi,
I still have the same problem, I just can't build Code::Blocks from svn.
I do :
./bootstrap
./configure
make
Then I have the same log as before.

Under Code::Blocks, when I try to compile with the project file : "Code::Blocks-unix.cbp", it just doesn't work, I have those errors :
tinystr.cpp line 39 : attention : messing braces around initializer for 'char[1]'
tinystr.cpp line 51 : error : 'ake' does not name a type
My config :
Ubuntu 7.04 : "Feisty Fawn"
wx2.6 and wx2.8 (runtime and dev, ubuntu packages)
GCC 4.1.2
Code::Blocks 3895 sources
Thanks in advance for your answers.
Kurapix
Kurapix, do you have the following packages installed?
autotools-dev, libc6-dev, libstdc++6-4.1-dev, libwxgtk2.6-dev, wx-common, libgtk2.0-dev, zip, pkg-config, subversion
I am thinking that if the make is failing on tinyXML, you are definitely missing some standard package of some kind ;)
Thanks for your answers.
Yes I have all those packages installed cstudent.
I'm probably missing something like dillbert said but don't know what.
