I have done very little C++, C, Java, and a ton of php programming.  So in a nut shell, I have no idea how to get mysql to work in C++, but it is something I need done and can't move on without accomplishing.  Can someone list the steps specifically?  I am quite sure that a lot of other members including me could benefit from the information.  I know it has something to do with linking libraries also.  I have a little knowlage of what a library is (a group of files that let you do stuff when you include them) and need to expand on that too.  I figured doing something with mysql will help me out in all of these different areas, so could someone please explain this?
