Installation of cppcheck in linux

i'm having the setup cppcheck-1.42.tar.gz for linux. How can i install it?

This is the wrong forum/website to ask this.

This forum is dedictaed to the developping of C::B and the using of C::B, but not how to install software on any OS from scratch.

By the way: cppcheck is part of most (all ?) distros. So you just need to install the appropriate package, without the need of compiöling it yourself, what can lead to much problems (as worst case break your system), if you don't know what you do.
