Hello:
was following the directions here --> http://www.cprogramming.com/code_blocks/  to help learn some c++.
went for the cb download and selected the sourceforge option for 10.05 mingw-setup.exe, am running Vista Home Premium. "something happened" and it appears I've only aquired 50 some odd MB of the predicted approx 74MB of the .exe  I get error and am directed here --> http://nsis.sf.net/NSIS_Error ok then what?  I'm left with a corrupted setup on my desktop and Vista won't allow me to delete it. Should I get the hammer  ?

Reboot and then you should be able to delete the file. (Rebooting unlocks the file; likely your problem.)

I suggest Sourceforge.net for the download if you have a bad internet connection.

Thanks everyone for suggestions to proceed. In the meantime I fixed my own problem after using the hammer on my own head. I changed the permissions to that .exe from user to system and tada !  no more issue.

Hopefully my next attempt to dl cb will go more smoothly. thanks again : )
