difference between large software keyboard and smal software keyboard in wince

I wrote a wxwidgets program which ran in wince 5 os.I used the wxtextvalidator to filter the char.My program ran normally when I used smal software keyboard,but it ran abnormally when I used large software keyboard.It can not filter char when I use  large software keyboard  .
