Not sure what its called, but apparently I dragged it too high and now it won't let me drag it back down, which makes it difficult to do a whole lot.

View -> Perspective -> Delete current
(most of the time I ignore long posts)

You can delete the current perspective (if it is already saved) or switch to another and thne back.
Look at "View -> Perspectives" .
