code block doesn't keep a track of old variables

Hi,
I am a new user of code block and down loaded the latest working version of code block..I am able to make it work for almost all the feature, but kind of frustate when I use code block for code analysis and browsing .
Code block is not save the last visited variable and there is no back/prev and fwd/next  arrow in the main tool bar.
I don't know if I have to add plug-in for that or this feature is missing.
