The tab showing open files have disappeared. How to restore?

I'm not sure what exactly you mean.

If you mean the editors tabs, you might have accidently used "CTRL+H" to hide them, to switch them on again, you can use the same shortcut or the appropriate entry in the "View" menu.

If that is not your problem, please describe more exactly what is missing.

The shortcut have been removed. Anyone using it should re-enable it with the keybinder plugin.
