Patch to save panes layout

Hi,

I make extensive use of panes (ie got 2 panes ) and would like to save panes layout on CB exit. I know I've read someone's post asking for feedback about a patch that does just that but can't find that post anymore. I would like to apply this patch since putting every tab in the good panel  at every CB start.
