Code blocks stop working

Hi,

I'm using a mac(early 2015, i5, 8 rams, high sierra 10.13) and I want to code in code blocks(c++ and c).

Yesterday I tried to code but after 5-10 mins code blocks just stop working, the only method I found was to restart again code blocks.
I have default settings, but at the editor, I disabled (code complete or smth like that).

Please help me, I need to code for school!

P.S IF YOU TELL ME TO UPDATE MY SOFTWARE, DON'T EVEN REPLY, I WON'T.

What version of Code::Blocks are you using?
What compiler and its version are you using?

Im using the 17.12 version

i don't know what's the version of the compiler
