Is wxWidgets-2.8.1 released?

First I would like to clarify that this post is based on the following thread-

Does anyone know whether wx 2.8.1 has been released or not?? wx-2.8.1 sources are available from the following link-

http://ftp.wxwidgets.org/pub/2.8.1/

2.8.1 had issues for windows, so it was never released.
Note, Mac users may see it because Apple needed it so they got it from CVS.

I suggest using CVS label WX_2_8_BRANCH it works for me.
