Edit: About wxWidgets documentation, visiting the Wikipedia you will find more resources, including a link to the great "Cross-Platform GUI Programming with wxWidgets" book, in pdf format, a "must have" for all wxWidgets beginners.

I've always pronounced it as "wooxwidgets"  But I'm no official member or anything
