Run source files

Is there any way to run source files without creating projects? Because without creating project, the run menu is grey..

What? Isn't there a "run file" menu?

Well, in the meantime, just search for the exe. Open a command prompt, and execute it from there Yeah, it's dirty but it works

Where's that "run file" menu? I can't find it. And I've tried running the exe file, but when the program finishes. it closes itself..

I can open a new file, not in a project, put some code in, and save it as a .cpp, and I can build and run it.

I'm running Windows XP SP2 and svn build 4068.
