Hi,

(little story why i decided to learn C++)

I always was interested in programming and making things. So I took a class in school and it turned out being amazing. I graduated now and I still want to learn. Recently my dad's been complaining about his work and how he needs some type of software that records his tenants names and his clients properties... for that i need to know how to use C++ and databases.

If anyone can please just explain how to do it I'd be super grateful...

I need suggestions of database software...I've used MySQL but its not that great... and apachi isnt good either...

the reason why i'm asking is because i want to surprise him with something i made for him.

For anyone who happens to read this or help, thank you. I really do appreciate any advice or suggestions anyone has.

Thanks again,

Erwin

The mods are going to drop the lock hammer on this topic because it's not really related to codeblocks.

but I will say you should use codeblocks, TDM mingw, wxWidgets, wxSQLite3 and SQLite3.

I use those for my job daily. They would work perfectly for what your trying to do.

demonsage16

cool i'll try those. i put it in the code::blocks forum because i'm using the c::B complier to make this... i heard it was more user friendly.

ouch

codeblocks is an IDE not a compiler. I used TDM mingw for the compiler.

its been a while since i learn this.... whats the difference between the IDE and the compiler?
