I'm using french keyboard layout and when I press space bar in the editor it does nothing.
I've tried switching to other keyboard layouts like ( U.S. international ) but it doesn't work too.

So can you please assist me in solving this problem.

Thanks.

I'm experiencing exactly the same problem.

I run KUBUNTU 11.10 with french kb layout.

Actually, space bar behave like ctrl+space bar, i.e. complete code instead of inserting a space.

I found a way: ctrl+alt+space...  Works but is not very convenient  :-\

I hope someone will give help.

Thanks.

I submited the bug to the developement team. Waiting for the answer.

Thank you for this help; I dindn't find the posts you gave us. I've got to improve my investigator skills  ;)

The  "setxkbmap -option nsbp=none" solution was successful for me. It's then a lot more convenient than ctrl+alt+space !

Could you please close the bug then and put the command above as solution in it?
