i am using linux mint , so which distro should i download  there is (debian , fedora , )

Jenna

Mint is based on Ubuntu and Ubuntu is based on Debian, so you can try the Debian packages, but I'm not sure whethher they work or not, there might be unfullfillable dependencies.
Which revision of Mint do you use ?

airc

thanks for the clarification.

the latest  14

i've installed C:B from the software Manger but the old one (10.05) , so if i dowload the CB source code from the SVN , can the old version(10.05) compile it ? .

If Mint uses the debian build-system (with dpkg-buildpackage), I suggest using it, otherwise use the autotools-stuff and install it in a folder below your homefolder.

But to ask your question, 10.05 can (of course) build C::B from source, but you have to start it with the run-scripts after unning ./update in the build-folder.
