[feature request] Allow <Ctrl> Tab to switch without displaying a dialog box.

Hi,
When multiple files are open, Pressing <Ctrl> Tab or <Ctrl><Shift> Tab activates a modeless window. I would like to see a check box in settings (somewhere) that would allow me to turn off the modeless window, and simply switch to the next tab. In projects with a large number of files, I can see that it would be quite useful. However, in a small list of files, It doubles the number of keystrokes pressed.
