File open

Hello...
I have talked about this before but i still have this problem:

When i save a file  i have in codeblocks the file gets saved
with the extension .cpp but if i try to load that file from
within codeblocks the file isnt visible...

If i look in windows explorer the file is there and if i double
click it, it opens in codeblocks and works fine.

It still puzzles me why i cant load the file directly from
codeblocks....

Any ideas?

Codeblocks version?
Locale (are you using some language specific letters in the file/directory name)?
Encoding?
File ending?
Does it load if you save a file with the notepad as .cpp file?
