Cannot find menubar

hi there,
i have installed codeblocks 16.01 in my ubuntu 16.04. I cannot find the menubar (settings,tools etc) in codeblocks though other applications working fine.please help.

I'm not very experienced with Linux, but I installed Codeblocks in Ubuntu recently and found that the Codeblocks menu only appeared when you move the mouse to the extreme top edge of the screen.  I assumed this is just how the Linux GUI is designed to work.

This is a Unity specific behaviour and in other DE/WMs it might behave differently. They call it choice.

Note: Unity is the window manager/desktop environment used by Ubuntu.
