debugger error and scripterrors

Hi, i just started learning the basics of programming. I tried to install codeblocks 5 times an deverytime i do i get error messages, its verry frustrating . im downloading the mingw for my windows 10 os.  i tried both versions of mingw numerous times and as soon as i open it a bunch of different window boxes with errors appear. how do i correct this?  or can you recommend another free IDE for C programming.  ive spent over a month trying to get this program to work and it refuses to opperate

You have to enter a valid path in the new project wizard...
At some point of the wizard pages, you will see a field with "<invalid path>" there you should set  a valid path to a folder where you have write access...
