Printing Editor Pages from Code::Blocks

When I use 'Print' to print an editor page, whether in 'Save to PDF' or on paper, the printout superimposes a table layout with lined boxes over the text, which hence becomes unreadable. I do not have this problem if I open any of the .cpp or .hpp files from the file manager in the Kate or Geany text editors and print from there.
Has anybody else come across this?

PS I run mostly Kubuntu 22.04 nowadays.

This is a known problem with Gtk, printing uses an old Scintilla version.
