How about using 7-Zip for packing resource files?

The patch is at http://developer.berlios.de/patch/?func=detailpatch&patch_id=2563&group_id=5358
I also attach patched update.bat file here for convenience.

FYI:

If you really wish to do this; please use 7za or 7za.exe the command line version for windows.
