Hi ppl,i'm new here, but there are several months that i use c::b and i like it very much. I'm satisfied for it's brand color for tags,it's very original and good to see,so i decided to make a logo like the program :D
If you like it tell me plz so i can give you the project or i can just modify it ;)
Hoping you like it.
Best regards,
GTOnizuka

A hint to all logo designer (that I have learned just recently, too):
Try to use high contrast colours. If the colours don't differ enough in contrast colour-blinded people won't be able to see a difference in the colours.
Besides from that: I like the design but I wouldn't necessarily say it's better than the current logo... anyway: nice contribution. :D
With regards, Morten.
I think that is one cool logo. Hope we can use it somewhere.
Yeah I think it is cool too. 8)
The colors definitely need to be more vibrant.
Thomas was saying something about a "skinnable splash" last time he changed it, or something like that. It'd be nice to have skins for Code::Blocks... but unnecessary of course.
The logo looks cool but it really needs more "vibrant" colours, to quote Game_Ender :)
The letter's shadow should be reduced, or even removed. It looks kinda fuzzy here... or do I need new glasses? :P

Yes I agree.

Just a tad fuzzy. ;)
Nice work though I like the drawing. :D
I wonder if it's vibrant enough :P

Sorry for duplicating your model :(

Region-skinned :) As in "uses CSG instead of alpha transparency" :)
Also please note that
splash screen != logo. The logo is what we use, among other things, as application icon, as favicon, and as an element inside the splash screen.
If you want i can make a new one with no shadow and the pict more glowing with colours ;)
worked a little bit on it with GIMP :)
here is the GIMP version. feel free to modify it.

Yeah, I really like it. IMHO thoose lighten edges shouldn't be soo lighten, but highlight is ofcoz great idea. Charon and GTOnizuka, merge your "projects" and It'll be fine. ;-)
Regards.
Hi there, sorry for the later reply but i read all now and i made two other versions removing the buzzy effect on the tags and boosting colours. I also made an another version, hope you like it :)
V2:

V3:

Very nice. I especially like version 3. 8)
Yeah. V3 is beautiful!
V3 looks good, but it seems the vibrancy got tuned down. If you can get the layout of v3 as vibrant as Cenizia's it would be (imo) perfect.
In my opinion, V3 has too much shadow... or, You could make version with this intensive shadow, but with "glowing" blocks. You know what I mean ?
Although this is a rather nice image, may I ask about its purpose?

Very useful for getting the attention of my snoozing grey haired CB dood friends who haven't updated since 1952.

You was talking about this version? :)
V4:

Just in case... file here (http://gda.utp.edu.co/~ceniza/CodeBlocks/.images/blocks.blend).
Oh, and remove the pie :P
GTOnizuka, V4 is better, but in my opinion there's too much light :-) Maybe you should use, instead of photoshop (I guess) light effect, another light effect ? or some nice looking gradient :) ? It would be damly nice.
What do you think about this one? :)
V5:

Hmmm, I think that the url is unnessesary. Change a little font on the top to be more "pro", you know what I mean ;-) And make more blocks :)
Hi there, long time no posting yeah? I was working for an another version of CB logo, and i'm going to show you and i hope it will be final ;)
I hope you'll like it!
V6(Final?):

See you ppl and tell me if you like or if necessary, about adjustments i can make ;)
Wooow  I must say I like it very much :)
Wow, looks very good.
Looks pretty professional.
Although I would change the font to a more "serious" one.
Nice! 8)
It looks beautiful, but my first thought was "isn´t that a variation of an old visual studio logo?". I might be dangerous, if the are to similiar.

at first I thought it said VC6 just above the pic. I had the same impression.
But it is very nice though.

I don't like this one. It looks like the aerial view of a bland building complex. It's block overkill, and all of them gray. A good logo should be simple in my opinion.

wow nice :D
I am very impressed by the result :D but I'd prefer shiny colors instead of grey ones.
Dje
Beatiful!
@GTOnizuka:
nice style and quality of the image! but consider coloring a few (or all) of those blocks in the actual Code::Blocks colors. this would fit better with the Code::Blocks logo.
and like others said : please use a more professional font! (even just Arial with a smooth degraded shading beneath the text would look really good)

This one is nice (except text) but it reminds me too much of Visual Studio 6 - so much so I dug into my old software archive and made this screenshot..
Edit: I see I'm not the only one, at least you have a pic to compare now. ;)

Yup, looks similar, especially colours and viewer position, but I thing that GTOnizuka's pic is much better ;)
