Problem with input while using opengl

Hello,

i've got a problem with my c opengl programm, i made the programm slower by using Pause(10) to lower the frames to 60 frames per secound, but if i a press a key as left or right the programm gets slower to 30 or 40 fps. Can somebody tell me why this happens?
