We setup a logo contest for the upcoming C::B release. We had a lot promising candidates (thanks a lot!). As we have to limit the choices, here are 5 pre-selected logos of the contest for the elections.

What's next? We will open a poll so that everybody can vote for the winner. Before that poll I would like to offer the authors (code_robot, jgm('s wife ;-)) and paul_s) a last chance to switch the pre-selected logos with another of their collection in case they are very unhappy with my choice. The same applies to devs, but please keep in mind that we need to make  pre-selection of just 5 logos.

Here are the favorites (coming in answers to this thread... as we have limited attachment capabilities)...

Well my wife is in agreement with your selections, really nice choices all of the 5. (from my personal taste I like 3 of them  :D) Well from our part we are set  :)

Erm, I was serious in my post, I just had an idea for a logo but I lack the time and, more importantly, skill to make it look pretty (I used to be a 3D artist, but I never did 2D or design) - I don't think my logo warrants an entry in the poll, nice as the gesture is :) .

I'd vote for #1 (although I prefer the grey gradient in the background from #2).

I posted my Splash idea here http://forums.next.codeblocks.org/index.php/topic,12270.0.html but I want to propose it here again. The font is a bit to classy so I put a version without it. So if you like, you can try yourself...

As I mentioned in the post befor, I tried to avoid another MS-Office-like appearance and tried something more demo-scene-like, so I added some noise and bloom.
