Annoying Cursor problem,

Has anyone else had trouble when the text cursor collides with the mouse cursor in the editor. For me it sometimes autoselects the area from then on, which wouldn't be too bad, but it also sometimes brings the text cursor back to the mouse cursor, while keeping the selection. So I overwrite what I wrote, It may be that I am brushing against the trackpad, or it may be an oddity caused by running ubuntu in VMWare Fusion on a Mac, but it is really annoying and never noticed a similar  problem when I was using gedit.

By the way, I'm thinking it has something to do with code-completion.

Not sure though.
