svn compile error + patch

Hi,

I've tried to compile the svn code on linux and it didn't work. I've made a little patch. As I have never contributed to any open source project before could someone please have a look at it (mainly the format, the patch itself should be ok) before it is submitted?

I had problems with the (unofficial) ubuntu package and with the latest source release (well actually I haven't compiled it because of the dos2unix issue). but now everything works fine
