Open files list always empty

When I create a new project in codeblocks the open files list is always empty. I've tried reinstalling codeblocks but I've got the same issue. I must have accidentally changed the settings.

Do you have open files?

For the files in the project look in the panel Manager -> Projects.
(most of the time I ignore long posts)
