I am new to coding in C++ and have chosen to use Code Blocks as my IDE. I have been working for a few weeks until I have noticed a malfunction. When I click on the Code Blocks desktop icon I see the Watermark and then it closes. I checked task manager and no Code Blocks tasks were active. I really need to get back to my work so if a fix takes a while, what is a good alternative IDE I can use in the meantime.

OS?
Code::Blocks version?
Have you tried to delete/rename the config file?

Obviously we cannot advertise another IDE, but we could try to help you get C::B running.

My OS is windows 10 and my code::blocks version is 17.12. and I have tried renaming my config files.

Have you tried to deactivate the anti virus software?
Is there a codeblocks.rpt file in the installation directory of codeblocks? If yes, can you post it?

What has changed since the time it does not work anymore?
Have you tried a nightly build?
