Strange grey box

Hey! I'm new to code blocks, and while writing my first program this strange grey box that covers the code appeared (Screenshots attached). The box stays even if I hide the program, but when I quit code blocks it disappears as well. Anyone have an idea of what it might be? Thanks y'all.

Operating system? codeblocks version? how did you isntalled codeblocks?
