It seems to be causing trouble.

I just compiled and later rebuilt Code::Blocks after unpacking that new version of binutils and I get an error trying to launch it.

~"The application couldn't be initialized correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to terminate the application."

Nonsense if you ask me.

I found that if used Binutils 2.17.50, C::B Can't load plugin: wxSmith.dll :(

Michael

Hello,

I was not aware of all those problems :(. Thanks for reporting them.

I have installed it, but not yet tried to build C::B with it. I will check later if I can build it and lunch it or not.

Best wishes,
Michael

Is that a new feature? :lol:
OS: winXP
Compiler: mingw
IDE: Code::Blocks SVN WX: 2.8.4 Wish list: faster code completion, easier debugging, refactoring

No. Just an error due to the lack of time I had to check my post :).

Best wishes,
Michael

I had the same problem when I tried it out when it was first released a few days ago.  But I only got the problem with builds using -g (debug).  Since I had built CB in release mode (no -g) everything worked fine but when I built Ogre in debug mode then wham, failure during startup trying to relocate loaded dll ie ~"The application couldn't be initialized correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to terminate the application.".  I rebuilt CB with -g and exact same problem so I have reverted back to Binutils 2.16.91 for now.
