When i add library item to compiler linker its not working??

hi

I am doing win32 project with windows common controls.
I added "libcomctl32.a" to linker and run a project its not showing me anything except simple ( Windows95 ) controls like button????

Can u give me example how to create progress bar with Code::Blocks!!

Please help!
