CB and wxWidgets 2.8

I have understood that wxWidgets 2.6.3 is required to build CodeBlocks itself.
Are there any problems with application programming using CB and wxWidgets 2.8?

If you want to compile C::B with wx 2.8 you have to apply some patches.

If you want to use wx 2.8 to develop app, C::B can do that.
