Wow, seven days in a row. The BerliOS operators must be proud to have made it for a full week.

How long do u guys intend to sustain this? Can u not offer an alternative dl site while u move to SF or GNU-Savannah (which is also quite good)? Or maybe even Tigris.org (I love Subversion 8))?

zerotri

if anyone wants to start sending me built SVN versions of code::blocks, I'll host them until BerliOS is back up. I'm going to attempt to build it myself, but I can't make any guarantees about it working.

I uploaded some Ubuntu builds for revision 4011. It's a free hosting site, so I don't know how much bombardment it will handle. Be sure to pay attention to which file you are downloading. I uploaded builds for both wx2.6.3 and wx2.8.4, so be sure to look before you click. :)

Just build it here....

Only problem I have now is that gcc is a sym-linked to gcc-4.1 and it breaks my builds! Is it dangerous to change the symlink to the freshly installed gcc-3.4? Just installed Ubuntu, so fairly new to that distro and don't know if it breaks something.

BTW:
This means C::B is also build with gcc 4.1 :P
OS: winXP sp3 | FreeBSD 7.0-stable | Ubuntu
Compiler: mingw 5.1.3 | gcc 4.2.1 | gcc 4.2.1
IDE: Code::Blocks SVN (on all) WX: 2.8.7 | 2.8.0 | 2.8.8

well the question to ask is , is berlios even aware of the problem !
I would say yes, but for that matter I didn't tell them. The big boss will have a look at it and contact them, since he is the main administrator. So no time to panic yet, patience might save us.

PS : look at the bright side   : since this problem more and more people are building CB themselves and have noticed it rather easy (and sometimes fun) to do so ... ;-)

kurapix

I totally agree with you killerbot.
Patience will save us all  .
And also that's true that there are more and more people building CB by themselves (it's been 2 months now since I started because of Berlios problems ;) ).

What exactly is the problem people are having?  Is there some way to check to see if I am getting the most recent code (i.e. some specific files)?  I think I am able to use tortoiseSVN to get the updates.  At least it appears it is updating.

a little light reading from the wxWidgets 2.6.2 readme: A detailed 2000-page reference manual is supplied in HTML, PDF and Windows Help form: see the docs hierarchy.

Sorry man I don't use tortoiseSVN anymore but SVN with linux console.

Yay!
Great! Byo that's really nice you fixed the wxSmithContribItems problem for loading using wxWidgets 2.8.4.
Anyways is the wiki up to date? I doesn't seem to be the case because I don't see some plugins like code profiler (I've just tested today because I wasn't too sure what it was for but it is a GREAT plugin) ..., anyways I'd like to know what the wxSmithContribItems do exactly?
