Code::blocks will not run on Fedora Core 7

I just installed fedora core 7 on my macine.  I installed the code::blocks package off of pirut and when I run Code::blocks it stalls on the loading of code blocks and I cant get anywhere with it.  Anybody know what could be wrong with it

What version of wxWidgets are you running? CB doesn't open if you are using 2.8.3

wxWidgets build is 2.8.4

Yes the fedora's repository latest rpm is built 3816!

Almost 4 months old and has serious problems even loading for some reason!

maybe it's time SharkCZ made an update at fedora's repository (please)
